Venue Hire FAQs


These FAQs should answer most of your questions regarding the hire of our spectacular venue.

Do you have an in-house wedding coordinator?

We don’t have a dedicated wedding/events coordinator, however, if you would like help organising your special event, we have a book of suppliers who can help create your perfect day – available from our Events team on 01476 860471.

 

Can we use an external wedding planner/stylist?

Yes.

 

Can we hold a professional firework display at your venue?

Yes, we allow professional fireworks at our Lakeside Venue. 

 

What are the weather contingencies for the Lakeside venue?

There are no contingencies. The hire is for the grounds only. You will need to organise your own marquees, tipis or stretch tents.

 

What is included in the hire price – catering, accommodation etc?

Buckminster Lakeside is offered as a dry hire which means everything needs to be organised by you.

 

Will I be able to hold a walkthrough on the day prior to my wedding day?

The hire time for our Lakeside venue is five days, allowing access for two days either side of your wedding date.

 

Do you have a recommended supplier for marquees?

You are free to use a supplier of your choice. We can recommend suppliers if required.

 

What information do you need from my wedding suppliers who will be working on site?

We require Public Liability insurance, a Food Hygiene certificate and, for our Lakeside venue, we require clients to apply for a Temporary Events Licence via Melton Borough Council. This needs to be done at least 10 days prior to your event.
