Buckminster Yard tenant community
Our commercial tenants know that having the right working environment is a big part of running a successful business. We’re pleased to say that for the wide variety of companies that call Buckminster Yard home, the facilities and the location deliver precisely what they need.
We asked three of our valued commercial tenants how Buckminster Yard worked for them. All praised the convenient location, beautiful setting and excellent support that means they can get on with running their businesses.
The brick buildings at Buckminster Yard once played a major part in supporting the work of the Estate but have since been converted to suit modern businesses, with easy access to the major road network and fast broadband links provided by our very own Buckminster Broadband.
And when it’s time for a break from work, there are beautiful walks nearby including the Estate’s arboretum, while the village shop, Coffee Barn and The Tollemache Arms provide places to shop, relax and enjoy everything from a quick sandwich to a leisurely meal.
Watchorn Financial Services Ltd
Clients of Jon Watchorn’s independent financial advice business find it easy to get to their offices in Buckminster Yard from the A1 and A52 or by train using the East Coast mainline. It’s also a straightforward commute for Jon’s eight-strong team who all live in the area.
Watchorn Financial Services Ltd have been at Buckminster Yard since 2012 when the yard was first converted, moving to a larger unit on site in 2020.
Jon says the rural location, good parking and high-speed broadband are what have kept him at the site for fourteen years, describing it as a “relaxed, high quality, place to work.”
Staff at Watchorn, which provides holistic financial advice to individuals and small businesses, also make good use of the Village Shop and the Tollemache Arms. Jon says: “It’s so handy having a convenient pub and a choice of places to relax to enjoy food and a coffee.”

Cefetra
As a global supplier of agricultural ingredients to the animal nutrition, food ingredient and energy industries, Cefetra’s Midlands office, at Buckminster Yard, is at the heart of Leicestershire and Lincolnshire’s arable farming country.
Easy access, via the nearby A1, was an important factor for the company in choosing Buckminster Yard. Staff moved in last December (2025) and Farm Trader Tim Morgan says it is a “quiet and friendly complex with beautiful surroundings.” Staff are already making use of the Village Shop and the Coffee Barn as well as visiting the 200-year-old Wymondham Windmill, just a couple of miles away.
Cefetra operates as a supply chain manager connecting farmers with the marketplace for their produce to maximise profits and minimise risk. Tim’s overall verdict on moving to Buckminster Yard? “Great landlord, great location, good facilities and amenities.”

Debbie Shore Sewing Ltd
Working in a lovely, light and airy building just a few steps away from attractive countryside and with many places of interest near at hand, makes Buckminster Yard the perfect location for Debbie Shore.
The business sells fabrics, haberdashery, books, tools and machines for use in dress-making and other fabric-based crafts, supported by livestreams and demonstrations. Sales are mostly online with occasional visitors, who are impressed by the location.
Debbie is a well-known sewing expert who has published more than 30 books, including many best-sellers. The business is proud to supply customers of all abilities and has been at Buckminster Yard for almost three years.
Staff and visitors make use of the nearby Tollemache Arms for the occasional lunch, enjoy samosas from the village shop and host sewing workshops in Buckminster Village Hall. Debbie said: “The building is bright with windows along both sides, it is quiet and has lovely walks for when we need to take a break!”
